The Taylor 410CE-LTD Walnut is all new for spring 2010. This unique 410CE-LTD features walnut back and sides, a spruce top, and a maple neck! That's right, a maple neck! This combination makes for an absolute tone machine. The sound of this guitar is like a canon. Loud projection, full bottom end, and a singing top end are what this guitar is all about. We can't sing its praises enough, as it's one of the nicest Taylor guitars we've ever had. By the way, how the walnut is accented by the maple neck and binding, it's absolutely stunning to look at.

This particular Taylor 410CE-LTD has a grafted walnut back, which is formed when English walnut tree trunks (which produce better-tasting walnuts) are grafted onto blight-resistant Claro walnut rootstock at the seedling stage, when the future trees are no larger than a pencil. The simple act of combining two species creates a distinctive graft-line and a one-of-a-kind fusion of grain figure. How cool is that?

This selection of walnut on the 410CE-LTD makes its statement with beauty, warmth and contrast. Dramatic milk- and dark-chocolate hues are outlined by creamy maple binding and a matching back mini wedge, with a complementary maple neck. Walnut’s blend of brightness and projection with warm overtones produces an appealing complexity, especially over time, making it a preferred tonewood of many folks here at Taylor.
