With roots dating back to 1946, Fender is one of the oldest guitar makers around but they've never been one to rest on their laurels. We see them constantly innovating, giving us new lineups to eek over. Although, just how are these series different? Do the high-end models justify the price tag? Buckle up, buttercup. We're taking a cruise through the different Fender models we have in stock.
These are your standard, legendary Telecasters and Stratocasters. They're crafted for guitarists who appreciate great tone and style at a hot price point. The Fender Player Series is made in Mexico and these guitars come in seven striking colors. They have an Alder body with a gloss finish, three Player Series single-coil pickups, a "Modern C" shaped neck profile, and a 9.5" radius fingerboard.
These are also made in Mexico but are objectively higher quality than the Fender Player Series. That's due to player-centric upgrades like noiseless pickups, expanded switching options, rolled-edge fingerboard, a 12" radius fingerboard, wider nut, deluxe locking tuners, and a gig bag. The Player Plus series is also known for fresh colors you won't find in the Fender Player Series lineup and new shapes like the Fender Meteora.
Get the feel of a vintage Fender without shelling out a huge amount of cash. The Fender Vintera Series throws it back to the golden eras, reimagining classic Fender guitars from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Expect decade-specific pickups and neck shapes, and vintage-correct colors for you history buffs out there. This series also features quirky, lovable shapes like the Fender Mustang.
U-S-A! True to the name, this series is made in America, built in Fender's factory in Corona, California. The Fender American Performer series delivers a fast satin-finished neck, their famous Greasebucket tone circuit, a 70's shaped headstock, and some potent hardware upgrades. They come in three beautiful color options and have Yosemite pickups voiced specifically for each instrument! They also come with a gig bag.
The American Professional II shares many of the same features as the American Performer. However, you'll find a gloss neck, which some players prefer, v-mod II pickups, a Roasted Pine body option, and additional switching for versatility. These are workhorse electric guitars for hobbyists and pros alike, at a reasonable price point, and they come with an upgraded hardshell case.
The holy grail of Fender, their American-made Fender Custom Shop series are hand-built by master luthiers to push the envelope on what an electric guitar can be. These have pickups you can't find anywhere else, the best hardware, and all the upgrades. As for the cases, each Fender Custom has a hard case that fits the personality of the guitar, like tweed for a vintage throwback, black cases, and more. Once you pull the trigger on a Fender Custom Shop, you'll never look at another guitar the same. We have a handful in stock but they never last long.
