This is a brand new 9.6 lb 2022 Ibanez SR5FMDX 5-string electric bass with a full factory warranty that is located at our Rapid City, SD showroom. This bass features a flamed Maple and Bubinga top and back over an Ash body with a 5-piece Panga Panga and Purple Heart Atlas-5 neck that is capped with a beautiful Birdseye Maple fretboard that gives a well-balanced tonal character from low to high. The Atlas 5 neck has premium fret edge treatment for super smooth comfort and is constructed with KTS Titanium reinforcement rods for increased stability, well-balanced note attack, and rich sustain. This bass is armed with Nordstrand Big Break pickups that cram a meaty split coil into a soapbar-style pickup, producing a full-bodied, powerful, aggressive tonal texture, while still retaining the clarity that's characteristic of single coil tone with noiseless performance. These are then dialed in via the Ibanez custom electronics with a 3-band eq or an eq bypass switch and mid frequency switch. Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ is their latest refinement on the concept of simple, straightforward, no-nonsense EQ control. The Boost and Cut for the Mid Control are each centered on slightly different frequencies, an innovation that delivers a preset range of the most favorable bass tones. Precision tonal control, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. When the EQ bypasses activated, the treble tone control knob becomes the global tone control for the passive circuit.
